Water in Barbados?

Hi,

Im going to Barbados in 4 weeks and was wondering if anyone could tell me if the water over there is safe to drink.

if ur not sure you mostly drink bottled water lemonade limonade chubby and busta

Barbados is a coral island, so the water is filtered through limestone on its way to underground wells.  It's safe, tasty, and readily available, though there's some talk of a current drought.  

Drink water from bottles if you 're not sure, but watch out for unsafe plastic.

Iv been and drank the water and i was fine as were all the family..its a very well established island unlike others,i also developed tonsillitis and need a doctor which I'm pleased to say was simple and i had excellent advice all around no probs enjoy!!!

I never drink water anywhere foreign - just buy bottled (avoid ice as well).

The water is very safe to drink. Barbados isn't some third world country.  It is a very progressive island and I didn't have any problems with the water or ice when I was there last summer.

We all drank it, it was fine.  No one got sick.

Depends were you go but when i went we bought bottled watter just in case. I recommend doing this as the medical service over there isn't great.

Drink bottled water. It is quite rare for you to be able to drink the tap water in a lot of countries whatever your constitution simple because the micro-organisms are different to your own water, Barbados is no exception.

I've had several holidays in Barbados and can tell you that the water is perfectly safe to drink.

I have been living in Barbados for the past 17 years since i'm Barbadian and i guarantee you the water is both clean and safe to drink. EVEN THO i wouldn't drink water from a pipe just laying somewhere down in town. To all the people who said no the water isn't safe 1) have you ever been here? its NOT Guyana. 2) did you study tourism? 3)did you go to school or was your education limited? Don't get on the computer and post **** you know nothing about

Jamo - Do you mind letting me know how the medical here isn't great? or are ur just another follow patter idiot. If you would do some research before you post it would be great. You would see Barados is the best rank in the Caribbean and persons from other islands HAVE to come to Barbados to get certain surgerys done.
