Water in ear after swimming ?

If you ware a swim cap over the ears you won't get water in there.They also make ear plugs to prevent water from going in.But, if it is too late to prevent you can buy swimmers ear ear drops. They sell them everywhere easiest place Walgreen's or Walmart!

jerk your head a few times to the side of the ear that has water in it. or if that does not work then put some ear drops in it. or u could go to sleep like that then u r most likely to wake up with no water in that ear.

they make non presecription ear drops you can buy at like cvs or walgreens or probly about any drug store. u just put a few drops in each ear after u swim, let them soak in your ear for about 10-15 seconds, then just let the extra drops fall out. it doesnt take much more than maybe 30 seconds to a minute and it can save you from a lot of painful ear infections.

what kyle suggest is a short term fix that will use a liquid to evaporate the water in your ear.

what i do when this happens is go to a ear/nose/throat specialist.

he will insert this tiny hose in your ear and squir warm water in it for a min or two, while you hold a plastic cup under your ear.  once the water if done going in yoru ear you can look in the cup and you will see the most nasty amount of ear wax you ever thought possible in your ear.

and to finish you off he will take a really thin twizzers and go deep into your ear and pull the rest out.

this procidure does not hurt at all, but it feels really weird having water squirt deep into your ear.  I get this kind of cleaning every few years.

the reason the water is staying in your ear is that the ear wax is holding it in there, once te water is lodged in the ear wax it can not evaporate and it will stay in your ear for sometimes a few weeks.
