  1. Very common causes are:

    1.  Bad head gasket.

    2.  Bad intake gasket.

    3.  Cracked block (intake valley is common after a freeze)

Pull the intake first, look for signs of tracking on the gasket.  It's a fast and cheap fix.  Replace it and run a while, then check oil.  While it's apart, look for cracks in the intake valley.  You'll notice them, but they make be faint lines.

Good luck.  I have experienced both the cracked block scenario and the bad intake gasket scenario.  Pray for the intake gasket problem.

  2. what has happened where do you see water how much? water can enter the engine through many ways you need to give more info and history about the problem there are even ways water enters without it being a engine problem. please give more info did you just launch the boat does it sit in water all important questions. I have all the info for that drive/engine contact me and I will be glad to help

  3. head gasket or worse stillblown head but that's unlikely

  4. Why?? Bad gaskets or blown seals--the fact is--YOU NEED A GOOD MECHANIC--if a seal or gasket is gone--chances are you need to do a lot of other relavent work to avoid other troubles that will happen soon. It never is just one thing wrong.

  5. Driving on the water would do that. It sorta gets pumped through there to cool the engine.

  6. Could be a blown head gasket  or a cracked block
