  1. 3)Cacl2, soluble in hexane

    REASON:

since non-polar substances are soluble in non-polar substances, Calcium chloride is a non-polar chemical and hexane is a non-polar substance so they CaCl2 is soluble in hexane.

    hope this helps^_^

  2. 2) Sodium bicarbonate in water.

NaHCO3 is a polar, ionic compound. Water has slight polar qualities.

Sprinkle some baking soda in water and see it bubble up and dissolve.

Note: choice #3 is incorrect because CaCl2 is ionic, polar.
