Car over heated, put water in radiator filled it (while running car) ran fine home and back to grandmas house this AM but...when I came out of grandmas house there was a pool of water coming from the drivers side. Car had smell inside and widow clouded up? Could this be a water pump problem?

  1. water pump isn't on the drivers side if it was coming from the inside its probably the heater core went bad in it,that's the main cause of one dumping coolant on the inside, one thing is for sure tough it will have to be checked and replaced, because it cant be driven much like this, have a shop check it they can tell you for sure what it is,they,ll be able to see the leak and where its coming from, good luck.

  2. sorry if on the inside most likely a heater core

  3. for a quick fix, have a mechanic by-pass the heater core by putting the heater hoses togather to by-pass the core. this is temporary,as u will have no heat. summer,ok,  bad in winter.

  4. You have a leaking heater core.  This is a small heat exchanger that looks like a small radiator and is located in the housing under the dash.

The heater core itself isn't all that expensive.  However changing it is another story.  They are sometimes very difficult to access.  So labor costs for this job could be a little high.
