Ok im a high school freshman. I joined polo, and have played three games and have been goalie a couple times. My coach says i should continue being goalie. If you have expierence as goalkeeper or playing polo alot, what is one great tip you could give me. Please dont say practice, practice, practice, i totally understand it's hard work. What kind of physical conditioning outside of the pool is good for goalie? Thanks alot!!!

  1. Take a tennis ball, and throw it at the wall. Stand ten feet back, and just chuck it at the wall hard enough so that it comes back to you. Then throw it harder and keep on coming closer to the wall. If you drop it, start over. It will work on your reflexes and improve them

  2. okay i am a set guard but i know some about the goalie to be a goalie you have to have really strong legs so things to really work the legs you have to be able to react fast too but legs are probally the most important ting to be a goalie

  3. practice, practice, practice! seriously though, it took me about 2 years to get the hang of it, learning a tail whip can be useful too, ask your coach about that, and make sure you have a really light boat
