What are some fun workouts besides constantly eggbeatering or doing lunges? Also how long have you been goalie?

  1. for 3 months, and my coach says one of the good ways of doing it is to swim laps while eggbeatering, have the ball in your right hand above the water (your arm in an L shape), and then every 5 seconds, throw the ball up, try to ascend and clap your hands, then catch the ball. Strengthens your ascension out of the water, and your hand-ball coordination.


  2. Well, I have been playing goalie for a year and a half, and my team went to junior olympics. My coach did  a drill where i sat on a balance ball facing a wall (out of the water) and she stood behind me. She threw a ball against the wall and I would block it. It helps your reflexes. Also, another one i liked was (you need a partner) You have the ball. Your partner, and they don't need to be a goalie, swims a few strokes and then releases for the ball, and youtry to pass it to them while they are still moving. It is harder than it sounds, trust me. :) Good luck! Have fun!
