When a defender is pressing me hard and I cannot draw a foul, how can I get a pass off?

  1. I've never played, but I've watched a few times in the Olympics. It seem like they fake a pass in one direction and get the defender to lunge for it, then they make the pass.

    Of course, I guess you'd have to be able to palm the ball to do that. Are your hands big enough?

    P.S. I get exhausted just watching water polo. You must be in great shape


  2. You have to drive your shoulder into them while eggbeatering  and then grab their bicep so it looks like they are fouling you. You need to control the fouls on offense if you cannot make a pass under pressure.

    Or

    You drive your opposite shoulder into their chest while protecting the ball with straight arm holding the ball and egg-beater away from them to make a layout pass.

    Work on your legs so you can get higher out of the water than your defender to see the field and always know where your passing before making a move. Egg up and look to where you'll be passing then make the foul or layout!
