Do you think that, say, in about 10-20 years, our world will find a replacement for gas for cars? Do you think water will ever replace gas? Are people working and experimenting right now to try to find a better way to fuel cars?

  1. eventually, there will be a replacement fuel for gasoline and diesel.  it can very well be water, or it could be air or something else, only time will tell.  the problem is getting the replacement fuel to produce enough power to make it logical and still be financially feasible to produce and still make consumers want to purchase it.

  2. Yes!  A group of research scientists has found a way to create hydrogen by combining water with aluminum.  This could result in a car that is powered by burning hydrogen or through a hydrogen energy cell.  Also, hydrogen energy cells could be used to provide electrical power to as well.  Hydrogen could also be burned to power turbines in power plants, and the best thing about burning hydrogen is that its emission is water.

It could be coming in less than 10 - 20 years.
