Water retention im my leg?

hi, i have copd which has led to heart failure and this is causing water retention in my right leg i am on tablets but they do not seem to be working yet, my leg today is freezing cold where its swollen and i have a real dull ache as well...... is this normal?

have the same problem same leg. taking furosemide (this spelling is correct) a diurtic also use very firm support hose to keep swelling down. swelling is caused by valves in in leg not functioning properly and letting blood pool in legs.

i had the same problem had to go back to doctors change tablets and started to walk a bit
