Water runs through my water cooler...why?

when i put the jug of water on my water cooler, it goes right through it out onto the floor. i looked nothing looks broken and its coming out the bottom...any suggestions. the water guy was gonna charge me 60/hr to look at at and i can not afford that

cooler(?)must be portable.unplug it drain it turn it upside down .find the leak and get somthing to patch it with.AND that'll be $30.00 please
