Water skiing with alligators?

Where I live in the south we have alligators in the same water that we boat in. If we are tubing and fall off, would it be likely for an alligator to attack if I am wading in the water if the alligator is unprovoked?

  1. Just don't go near the nests, which are usually in the shallow water among the reeds near shore.   You're not going to be attacked unless you get too close to the younguns.

If you're lucky unlike me, you won't be taken out there by your psychotic cousin who drives the boat right over the nesting area in circles and makes a huge wavepool while saying "Better not fall here...hehehehe"

  2. The alligators will stay off to the sides and are usually more afraid of you then you are of them as long as people don't feed them, when people feed them they lose their natual fear of humans.  I would stay more in the middle of the lake and wouldn't sit idle in the water after dusk as that's their feeding time.
