wet, so it's a fair amount. Is there anything we can apply from the outside to the crack while it's wet to stop the seepage?

  1. Assumng you can get to the inside of the tank, try fixing a polythene sheet and see if your leak stops.

  2. NuMetal epoxy putty should work on damp concrete surfaces:

  3. Depending on the size of the crack, try the as-seen-on-TV "Mighty Putty (https://www.mightyputty.com/spark/index.... some folks swear by it, other folks swear AT it.

Watch the "Will It Work?" consumer video at youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypWJs_lb_...

Now, big hint... "Mighty Putty" is no better than the epoxy putty you can buy in any hardware store's plumbing aisle. ;-)

    Hope this helps,

  4. There are products at your local marine supply store for just such a fix I have used marine-TeX and its indestructible

  5. If you drink or use the water for cooking be careful that the sealer you use is approved for potable water.  Most concrete tanks are sealed from the inside, and there are some new products being introduced for sealing the outside but they all are intended to be used on dry concrete.  Marine Tex is a good product, and while I'm not sure you will want to use it with drinking water, it will probably seal the crack for you.  Otherwise you most likely will have to wait until you can drain the tank down to below the crack.
