  1. Unless you have a better washer that controls water temp you must adjust the hose bibs to give you warm water. Turn the water temp control to warm and adjust the hose bibs until you get warm water. Unless you do this on the warm setting you can get real hot or real cold water.

It comes directly from your hot and cold water lines in your house.  If you select Hot Water wash it will use the hot water from your hot water heater, so whatever you have it set to.  Usually it mixes the hot and cold to come up with a medium temperature.  Clothes washers normally don't have water heaters built into them.
