please note .. this is for drinking water. when Tamilnadu doing some rightful action in a right way from the water in tamilnadu, the karnataka doing some gimmicks by a handful of politicians, not the people of karnataka. The project is for drinking water.

The project is within the limits of tamilnadu. why they chose to oppose a project is not known. But creating disturbances. This is the Tamil people made the Bangalore a shining city. I have no objection to express their opposition, but they chose to threat the tamils living there, but at the same time the kannadas living in tamilnadu are living without fear, since the tamils patience. now, my question is this kind of water disputes are raised in the earth anywhere? that too within a country/nation. Not with other country. it is in the same country. whether any state in the earth are having similar problems for drinking water. please answer.

  1. apart frm india ,,,,we cannot see such issues anywhere in world

  2. why they are disputing?  it is the govt of tamilnadu taking action by bringing a project which was approved by the central govt.  They only begin to implement the project within their lands, and why these people objecting it?  The water flowing in tamilnadu border.  it is the right of the govt to do any work which is giving benefit to the people.  The govt's work is to be appreciatable.  i think, some people creating violance because of coming state elections.  The govt of karnataka now ruled by the president to take steps to curb violance.  we are living in india.  Every indian has got right to live anywhere in india.  if you go to america, you ask anyone there, he will say  'i'm american'', similarly a german say 'i'ma german',  but only in this country i find them saying ''iam kashmiri'', i am tamil,   i am malayalee,  i am kannada.  All should say  ''i am indian''.. not to say their state or language spoken.  A time will come.  you asked about similar problems in this earth.  yes, there may be but not in a large.  Disputes and coming to conclusions, amicable settlements are common, but i don't know much about other countries.   jaihind.
