I heard this causes bugs??

  1. I agree with the other answerers, but would add that a lot has to do with your region.  I live somewhere very hot and moderately humid (central Texas), so grass watered at night will stay wet pretty much until the sun rises.  But, in dryer areas, (Arizona or Colorado) it will dry faster, even at night, and so it is less of an issue.    

    We water early morning twice a week.  


  2. As I always say...Never put your grass to bed wet!

    Don't water after sundown, this is a major casue of fugus.

    It does, however, set up a perfect environment for fungal problems.  If your grass is damp all through the cool, dark night...any fungal spores that are around will start to have parties, and invite their friends.

    It is best to water in the morning to give the grass time to dry but,  it rains at night also.

  5. Watering at night encourages fungus.  You do not want your lawn to stay wet for any period of time.  It is best to water in the early morning.
