Alton Towers is known as a theme park, however it also has a great water park. I went there last year with friends and spent the whole day there. Definately worth checking out, it has indoor and outdoor pools. You may even want to spend the day there, sleep overnight in the Alton Towers hotel and spend the next day in the actual theme park.

Alton Towers is the only place I know with a waterpark.

This country is just too cold for that sort of thing to be commonplace.
