Waterproof or Normal Mascara?

Question

I understand that waterproof doesn't wash off like normal mascara does (as it's hard to wash off) and a few eyelashes end up being pulled out. But really, why do people think waterproof is bad? Is it the chemicals? What do they do? I'm slightly put off by normal mascara flaking around the eyes.

I wear regular mascara and love it.  Maybeline is the best.  Get it.  You don't need waterproof unless you are swimming.  Trust me.

i hate waterproof only because i wash my face every night and i start to get the black ring around my eye where i tried washing it off. regular is great as long as your not at the beach or pool.

idk...but you can use baby oil to get waterproof mascara off

normal is better for your lashes b/c the waterproof actually dries your lashes out

well, waterproof mascara has more wax ingredients in it which makes it a lot harsher on your eyelashes, meaning that it dries them out. so unless you're not going in the water then i'd just suggest sticking with normal mascara.
