Watersports near CT?

I live in northwest Connecticut & am bored. I really wanted to go surfing this weekend in RI but *surprise* it's flat. What else can I do? I'm interested in wakeboarding- where can I learn?

Are you looking at Misquamicut/East Beach? Try Jamestown or Newport or go down to Jersey. If you are going wakeboard Misquamicut would be alright to learn at.
