I would learn the intro and solo to Blackbird by The Beatles.

It's not too hard to learn, it gives you a good finger picking exercise, and it definitly will impress your friends. go to google and type in...guitarnoise blackbird

for songs anything by the ramones or nirvana. very catchy and memorable riffs. and for solos the solo to i wanna be sedated...its hitting the high E string 65 times lol. but all joking aside any solos by nirvana, green day, and the ramones are good and easy and fun as h**l to play.
