I think it really depends on who you're talking to.  Women from the earlier part of the century did abortions on themselves in unspeakable, horrible ways, which I am not going to go into detail about, because I don't want you to do something like that to yourself.

Nowadays, an "at home" abortion is most likely referring to RU-486, the dreaded "abortion pill".  It's four tiny pills you get from the doctor (preferably at a clinic of some sort where they also offer you counseling), insert into your v****a in the privacy of your own home....and then you wait.  And prepare to experience some of the absolute WORST menstrual cramps and bleeding you will ever face outside of delivering a live baby.  Myself, if it happens to me again, I'm going to opt for the D&C, the pills were too much, they made me terribly sick for about six hours prior to the onset of any bleeding, and I don't believe they do as good a job at getting the material out as a D&C does.  D&C's cost a lot more, yes, and you have to do it in a hospital setting, and it's terribly invasive, but I'd rather be knocked out than that sick and have cramping that bad.  My  preference, of course.

Don't judge! Listen, although I think abortion is wrong, at home abortion is dangerous and pretty much illegal. Some people can even bleed to death from doing it wrong. The law in New Zealand says that your parents don't have to know you're getting an abortion. Get someone you trust, go to a family planning centre, and make an appointment. Or talk to your parents about it, although I gather that's not really an option. However, do be careful, because some people can only have one child in their life, so make sure it's safe. But please think this through carefully, as life is incredibly precious. And be more careful next time! How old are you? Because depending on that, there are also some family planning centres that are better to go to.

ur doctor will give you a prescrition called "mifepristone and mifeprex" it takes about a week but it is done at home. you still get cramping and bleeding and you can only do it up to 8 weeks.

but after that you really cant get one at home!!

usually an "at home" abortion is using medication that a doctor gives you to cause an abortion.  You'll either take the medicine at the doctor's office or take it at home and then abort several hours later.  it's just as safe as an abortion in a doctor's office.
