buy local. you may get to know you local shaper and he can give you the secrete spots to you area. also you can custon fit all the dimensions and make your board yours instead of 300 other people who have the same board from the same company.

IDK man...rusty's pretty good...

The trick is just to try a few types of board. Thin and nervous, bit thicker for extra buoyancy, longer for more speed,  more rocker for better tube action or wave curb mastery.....(!)

Also I found the width, whether wider near the upper half or lower half of the board makes a huge diff.

After trial and error you'll find the perfect board for you.
