  1. Learn how to type/speak in English. After that, 10-20 hours to solo.

  2. On average I'd say something like 12-15 hours.

More for some, less for others but somewhere around there.

  3. I did my solo in 8 hours.  My instructor said I could have done it earlier.  But many people wait till somewhere in the 15 to 20 hours.

So there's no "average".  It is done when the instructor feel you are ready.

    Good Luck...

  4. These days you're not likely to solo before fifteen to twenty hours, but if you show aptitude, it's possible to solo much earlier.

There's a checklist of things that you must know and be able to do consistently before you can be allowed to solo. It's very task oriented.

The list includes takeoff and landing, climbing and climbing turns, descending and descending turns, stalls, spin awareness, airport traffic patterns, emergency procedures, communication, lost procedures, etc.

  5. It depends on a lot of things. At my airport the average time til solo is 20-25 hours. Granted, I fly out of VNY which is the most populated general aviation airport in the world so sometimes traffic doesn't permit me to do as much in a lesson as I'd like.

It also just depends on how fast you learn. When your CFI is comfortable with your skills to take off and land by yourself and knows you won't be a danger while practicing maneuvers, then you will be endorsed to solo.
