Wats difference between TMC n GP?

dear frnds,i wanna purchase a flat in mumbra(thane) there r some falts approved by GP(gram panchayat)n others r approved under TMC(thane municipal corporation)TMC approved flats r costlier than GP approved.y so?will v hav to face any problem if v purchase GP approved flats?

tmc having some standard. when developer build  a building it has to follow tmc standard , for eg, garden , car parking, and free space and a compound etc.

gp is like builder build building without tmc standards, and then later builder register for tax and society.

i buyied one gp flats 2 yrs before in 2005.

everything is fine .
