  1. we started about 1 1/2 yrs old with my oldest, daddy just went in there with him, we bought the lil potty chairs but he didnt really like those. i also heard that putting cheerios in the toliet and tellin them to aim at them helps. does he let u know when he needs to go potty?

  2. I think now would be a good chance to start training him.

I started off by just leaving the potty downstairs.

She started askin wot it was, so i explained its was for big girls to use when the need a wee or poo.

I used to leave her with nothin on then when she needed a wee she would just go on.

At first she didnt seem keen and we did have lots of accidents but i carried on and she managed to get it before long.

    Good luck

  3. i reckon, take him to the toilet every hour and sit him on there. he will learn to ask you to go if he remembers thats what he does in that situation. i reckon give that a try. dont give him nappies let him wear undies

  4. My son is the same age and I started potty training about 2 weeks ago and now he is fully potty trained. Yesterday was his first day out in public without a pull up on and he did great.  Put him on the potty many times in the morning my son pees about 3-6 times between the hours of 7 and 10 .. then every 30 mins or so throughout the day. Put his big boy potty somewhere that is out of the way but yet he can always see it .. Keep him in big boy undies all day long unless you have to go out and about or even at night time .. he will have a few accidents .. hopefully you won't mind the clean up .. but let him know he needs to go on the potty if he has an accident . Everytime I cleaned up his mess I would make him sit on the potty while I did so and tell him thats where he has to go not on the floor. I did the sticker chart and reward thing, the first few days every time he went on the potty I would praise him, high five, make a huge deal about it, then we would go and put a sticker on his chart and I would give him a gummy snack. He completely has forgotten about the gummy snacks and now he just goes potty on his potty all the time .. At the end of the night we count up the stickers and he gets a cookie after dinner. We're still working on the pulling down his undies. Best of luck to you with your potty training adventure :]

  5. What i did with my daughter was, i told her i didnt have any more nappies, and they didnt make them anymore, so i cant get them.

Ibought her fairy, princess, pretty girls undies and told her that these will be her new underwear, &when she needs to go to the toilet, go to the potty or tell me.

The first time he wees in them tell him you only have "one more pair of underwear" &if he wees in them, he wont have any and will have to wear wet smelly underwear forever.

It seems harsh, but it works.

  6. After every meal put him on the toliet and sometimes even when he is watching TV.

  7. Ok.  First you start out by asking him if he has to go potty.  Then when he needs to take him and if he goes potty reward him and give him something he likes.  It mders how much you work with him.  If you work with him alot it shouldn't last long.  You could start right now.  I t is up to you.  Yes perfect age to start potty training.

  8. my daughter started using the potty around 22 months. she was ready for it-she would tell me when she had done a wee, or she would her nappy off wee on the floor then tell me. she is now 2 yrs and 2 months and dry during the day-just need to do the night now. alll i will say is make sure your son is ready or it won't work. has he given you any signs that he is?
