  1. I ride a Forum Star and love it.  I have heard a lot of great things about Lib Tech but couldn't get my hands on one this season.  Gnu makes some nice boards too.

Forum is owned by Burton, so it's like getting a Burton board but without looking like half the people on the mountain and without the absurd sticker price.

  2. I firmly believe that the Lib Tech women's boards are the best on the market. Be careful with Salomon and Burton and the like, because they basically just scale down a size and sell you the same cheap guy's board they sell to teenage boys. You want something with a closer stance, more pop and less weight, and a narrower waist width. But because you wear a larger shoe than most girls your size, don't buy something too skinny in the waist or you'll have too much toe and heel hang. Good luck!

  3. Santa Cruz Muse.  Won Goodwood awards for all years manufactured.

  4. I have a Saloman Ivy size 148 that's nice for all-mountain. It floats in pow and is really great on the steeper slopes. However, it isn't as good for jumps in the park or anything....I demo-ed the 2009 Gnu B-street today; it isn't out until next year, but wow it's a nice board! It's VERY flexible, good for park, and the banana tech supposedly makes it very good in pow as well. I rode it outside of the park and it works just as nice. It's a fun board for cruisin. I used to ride a K2 Luna but that kinda sunk in powder....a nice versatile board besides that though!

  5. Lib.-Tech. makes boards that are higher in quality than Burton if you compare the materials that are used to make the boards.  They are reasonably priced and fairly easy to find at stores.
