  1. A fuse is generally a length of wire that is designed to overheat and melt, or rupture, at a given current level.

Because light bulbs are traditionally made with a thin filament of wire, when the filament breaks, which is what happens when the bulb "blows", then it can be referred to as having "fused", just like an ordinary fuse.

The short answer is, there is no difference.  And no, a fused, ruptured or blown (all mean the same) bulb will not conduct electricity.

  2. Insofar as a bulb is concerned, the two words mean the same thing.  The bulb is open circuit and therefore will not conduct current.

Confusion can arise because people are so sloppy and imprecise with their choice of words and general (mis)use of language.

  3. To me, the term 'fused' indicates that the bulb filament has been shorted out at the base of the filament.  In other words, the metal at the base has become melted and fused together.  The bulb will still conduct current, but its resistance is a 'dead' short (almost zero Ohms).

The term 'blown' means that the filament has opened up.  No current will flow.

Note: bulbs are designed to 'blow' and not to 'fuse'.  It is almost impossible for any modern bulb to fuse because the base wires are placed too far apart from each other.

  4. The term "fused" refers to fuses and can mean that something is protected by a fused or sometimes to mean a circuit is dead because the fuse has blown.

Bulbs don't tend to contain fuses so the term does not apply except to the circuit as mentioned above.

The only bulbs I have seen described as fused are fairy lights and the term used there is not strictly correct. The "fused" bulbs go open circuit when they blow (like any other bulb) as appose to the "highly dangerous" ones that blow short to keep the rest of the string lit.
