  1. Sodium Laurel Sulphate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) are both annionic surfactants - but they have slightly different chemical structures.

    SLS is - NaC12H25SO4

    SLES is - NaC13H25(OC2H4)nSO4

    In other words - SLES is just SLS with a number ("n") of extra OC2H4 ether groups in it.
