  1. Your personal credit card and bank account check are reversible actions in most cases if fraud or other "problems" occur.  A bank money order or bank draft is also "reversible" but it costs about $25.

Even when useing Pay Pal its best to fund the transaction with a credit card.

I would advise you to speak to your banker about what protections you have for internet commerce funded from your account and the cost of protective measures due to fraud or other "problems"

  2. Not really such a thing as safe with ebay. You have to be very careful. Paypal is like a spinoff of ebay and you are required to use a credit card to get verified. So it ends up being the same thing.

With checks you really have no recourse if you lose the money. Money order is the same as a check.

With credit cards you can always complain and they might reverse the payment if all goes well.

I have sold a few things on ebay and I got paid in checks and paypal. It was all legit thank goodness.

Try to see how well the person is selling by their negative and positive comments. But beware! Some fraudulent sellers inflate their comments with fake users.

    Good Luck!

  3. Most sellers only take paypal.  It's pretty easy to sign up with them and it does not cost you anything.
