  1. Take a look at the RG model 23 and the Iver Johnson Supershot .22 DA revolver. Used, both should come in around $100 or less. I make no claims to their accuracy, but both should be functional, inexpensive firearms.

  2. The Heritage Rough Rider .22 revolver will run you at least $145...Great gun for the price. You can get this gun with two cylinders, the 22LR and the 22WMR. Fun gun to shoot. A friend of mine has this gun. He has shot thousands of rounds through it. The only thing that I can say anything bad about the gun is...After about 2500 rounds...You may have to have the firing pin replaced. But a little money and a little know how, you can replace the firing pin yourself.

I was going to buy myself a Heritage .22 a few years ago. My buddy and I went to Reno,Nv. To buy and look at what guns they had there. We must have hit every Sporting goods stores, Gun shops and pawn shops Reno had.One of the stores we went to, we asked them if they had any 22 revolvers that they were not displaying in the display case. They did indeed have a couple Single Action .22 revolvers in back. They brought them out and showed us. One was some brand i cant remember, the other being a Ruger "Old Model" (3 s***w) Single Six 22LR-22WMR convert. revolver. The Ruger was $170 and the other was cheaper. I went with the Ruger. I couldn't pass up a deal like that. Ruger Single Six are rarely sold for anything under $300, "Old Model" or "New Model". The Ruger 3 s***w 22 I ended up with, still shoots like its new out of the box. I found out later, from JD here on Yahoo Answers...Some of its history. It started its life being a blued 22, but somewhere down the line...Someone had it nickelplated and the revolver is a 40plus year old gun. Regardless of its value, I ended up with one sweet 22LR-22WMR revolver. One that I will never trade or sell.

My point is...Do some serious looking for a 22 revolver. Ask them if they have more guns in the back. You never know what jewel the store you're at may have, just waiting for someone to buy.

I've had people make offers to buy the Ruger "Old Model" Single Six. Most of them offered me $300, one guy offered me $600 to buy it. I just can't part ways with this revolver. Its to much of a nice gun to get rid of.
