  1. Baked brie or baked camembert. Covered in flaky crust, baked in the oven, served with cloudberry jam and whipped cream (boysenberry jam works too, cloudberries only grow in the arctic, hard to get in the US.)

But I LOVE all cheese, cheese plate with various hard and soft cheeses with grapes and apples and crackers is fabulous!

  2. For bieng Italian my favorite cheese is the mozarella cheese! Its so soft and right when you bite into it the cold juice drips down. It has such a great taste though! regular cheese like the american kind is to plain for me. but the cheese i like has to come strait from italy. the way they make them here in america just ruins the taste.

  3. pepper jack & colby

  4. I don't think I have ever eaten a cheese that wasn't my favorite ;)

My preference though would be colby-jack for everyday use. We go through tons of it each month and we ALWAYS have it in our house. I even buy colby-jack cheese sticks so I can be lazy.

But... certain cheeses go with certain things... Monterey cheese goes great with chicken, smoked gouda (Yancy's Fancy's brand is best!) goes great with burgers, sharp cheddar goes great in salads, I even have uses for the not so real cheeses like american goes great mixed with pasta and spaghetti sauce... velveeta tops off most any veggie! True its not real cheese, but it sure tastes good :)

When I go to a burger joint I always order extra cheese.. if we go to somewhere like red robin I get monterey and cheddar (its like colby jack!) The all time best sandwhich in the world is a bagel toasted with miracle whip, dry salami and colby jack cheese mmmm dang it now I want cheese!!!!!!!

Oh.. did you know you can go to just about any deli at the grocery store and ask for a sample of one of their cheeses? I always make sure I stop by and try something new each time!

  5. humbled fog. gorganzola with goat cheese made into one. what could be better?

  6. I love all cheese!

Apart from goats cheese, yuc, I was in a posh resturant and I had cheese for desert and it looked like a nice soft cheese so I put a large amount of it in my mouth and I had to swallow it because I didnt want to spit it out in a posh resturant, I was nearly sick.

  7. Smoked gouda and gorgonzola.

  8. Provolone.

  9. Mozarella is the best and most amazing cheese, think about it.. its awesome on fries, pizza, sandwiches of all types and so much more , i.e.  pasta dishes etc.  Its fantastic fresh or melted, it doesnt have a bad smell, and you can have a fun time pullin it apart! (string cheese).  I love cheese, believe me I do, but overall Mozarella is # 1 for its taste and versatility.

  10. I don't eat cheese.  I am vegan.

  11. my fav is vermont white sharp cheddar.  it's fantastic in macaroni and cheese.  gives a nice bite!

  12. Limberger - It smells gross and comes in a jar but spread on crackers - yummmmmmmm!

  13. Swiss

  14. i just got back from france and ate almost every kind of cheeze possible, my favorites are roquefort camman bear(spelling is probably wrong), and good old american cheddar.

  15. That is a hard question because i just like cheese....it's good, and it's great in different things! But i usually like to eat my cheese plain:)

  16. I could never pick just one..

for snacking I love fresh mozzerella...  for melting, american..  for serving to guests brie..  then there are cheese spreads...  don't get me started on those..  and of course toe..  my dog recommends it but I've never tried..

  17. Interesting question - lol

I like goat cheese with sauvignon blanc because the pairing of the tanginess of the goat cheese with the crisp and cleansing flavors of the wine is just perfect....

I love Maytag bleu cheese, served for dessert with nuts and honey and a glass of good port wine....

Interestingly, no matter how much my palate has developed over the years, I still occasionally enjoy a squirt of that canned cheese junk on a Chickn n Biscuit cracker - lol  I actually went to a wine tasting last year where they'd created a "Chili Dawg" wine that was hot and spicy... and the way they had you taste it was by squirting the canned cheez onto your hand and having you l**k that and swig a shot of the wine (much the way you do the lemon, salt and tequila shot!)

    It was tasty - lol

  18. There is this kind made by Beemster that is called santa's choice, made at christmas time. It is a very strong white cheese with a nutty over tone. It is very good with wine, fruit and crackers. I could almost take myself to the fridge to get some now, but then I'd have to leave yahoo!answers.

  19. goat cheese is AMAZING!!! Its really super soft and dense and creamy. its great on a slice of cucmber with some salt or really anything thats crisp and sweet. I love it with pears. My dads a chef so i've been exposed to nice foods all my life. i also like queso blanco which is also called queso fresco. Its semi soft with a higher water content and kinda spongy texture. That one's great on crackers.

  20. Colby Jack is my favorite. It is good eats by itself, or shredded and put on just about anything. I like it sprinkled over a homemade bacon cheeseburger or in chicken quesadillas.

  21. Cheddar Cheese from Cheddar, England. I actually smuggled a 5 lb. round Cheddar Cheese back into the United States in 1984 ... I disguised it so that from the top, it looked like a 6" tall stack of 45rpm record labels! (I hope you know what they look like. 45s are sorta collectors items these days.)

  22. Almost any kind , but especially the cheeses with the hot peppers

  23. the best cheese is Gouda its like a cheddar but is slightly different n is awfully good!!!!!

  24. OMG, I love cheese. Mozarella and provolone are my favorites!!!!

  30. Aged New York State Cheddar-it has the highest level of tyrosine, which makes you feel naturally perky.(I'm quite fond of most hard cheeses, though).

  31. Feta Cheese is really good, especially in a Greek Salad.  I also really love Pepper Jack on sandwiches or on crackers.
