The Borussians’ general manager suggests that he never fights with his manager and echoed how he works not to spend senseless money in the transfer market.
Borussia Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke is a very influential personality at the defending champions but insists there is no row between him and coach Jurgen Klopp. He stated that he has never argued with the team
trainer and further added that the Bundesliga outfit prefers to develop young players into stars.
Both the club officials are strong figures at the German side, but when inquired about their relationship the general manager responded that they share a feeling of mutual trust with each other. He also confirmed that they never
fight but do disagree on things, and then reach a solution without any publicity.
Watzke conceded that he always asks for the opinion of his tactician and have great respect for each other. Therefore, a conflict of opinion does not arise. He said that they depend on each other and share a good relationship.

"We know we can rely on each other and are very close together," he mused.
The board member was inquired about whether he would relish the possibility of having a billionaire owner, but said that he does not enjoy the luxury of massive resources in order to win some silverware. Dortmund have a very sound
financial state and have worked wonders within their limited budget over the years.
"We have our way, we are independent and free. It's also fun to be creative and to not buy everything," he finally concluded.
Watzke stressed that the Bundesliga club have their own unique way of running the team, and are independent of any other constraints. Moreover, it is good to be working free and just not buy everything with money.
