The German double-winning club are to face the likes of Real Madrid, Ajax and Manchester City in their group, and the general manager has asked his team to raise their game in this edition of Europe’s elite cup competition.

Borussia Dortmund general manager has urged the BVB outfit to lift their spirits and contest the European competition with great courage, and highlight their name in the club’s history. The Borussians will be playing against Spanish,
Dutch and English champions, and will try to go past the group stage this time around.
Moreover, the club official said that his team has the talent and ability to cause upsets in Europe’s premier competition, if they put in their maximum efforts.
Watzke claimed that they are not excited with the draws but suggested that the tough group can work in their favour. He told that Madrid and Ajax along with them have experienced Champions League glory, and City are also good opponents
as they won the prestigious English Premier League last season.
"This is an incredibly difficult but also incredibly attractive group with three Champions League winners and the English champions," Watzke remarked.
The manager feels that new players who help their respective teams win will have their names written on the club books forever. He believed that the Bundesliga team is desperate to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
"All four teams are national champions. In such a group, heroes are born. We want to progress," he mused.
On the other hand, club skipper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Kehl-c32732 expressed his joy at the opportunity to display his talents at the Santiago Bernabeu and Etihad Stadium. The captain, however, echoed his frustration with the difficult draw.
"This is a crazy group. We could not have drawn any teams harder than Madrid and City. Of course it's great to play in to play at the Bernabeu or on English soil, but honestly I would have hoped for an easier draw," he finally
concluded.
Kehl believed that they were hard done by the fixtures and admitted that Madrid and City are one of the best teams in the competition.
