The Borussia Dortmund CEO is confident that players from the double-winning club will continue with their brilliant form if given a chance.
The Black Yellows won the domestic double this season as they secured their second consecutive Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal. The team proved yet again that it is a strong force in Germany as they brushed
aside competition from Bayern Munich, a team which spent heavily in the summer transfer window.
Joachim Low announced his provisional squad for Euro 2012 last week which included the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-Schmelzer-c23530, Mario Gotze and Ilkay Gundogan. There is great competition for places amongst the squad
and the players will have to prove themselves in training to Joachim Low for a role in the tournament to be held in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 and Ukraine next month.
Hans-Joachim Watzke insisted that it is impossible that no player from Borussia Dortmund is named in the starting line-up considering the sensational performances they have put in. He is confident that Low will select a team on
merit and has no issues with the national team manager.
“I think it is completely impossible that no Dortmund player should stand in the starting line-up at the European Championship. For me, this is not an issue,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The chief stressed that Dortmund’s success is a result of great hard work from the team and feels that the Die Mannschaft boss will recognise the displays from the players by giving them a chance. He hailed the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879
tactician and is hopeful of a successful campaign in Europe.
“If you are the German champions and cup winners, then one must assume that this performance is recognised in accordance with the national team. Jogi Low is a great coach and I assume he will make the right decisions in every case,”
he concluded.
