  1. Ive been rip-sticking for along time now and id suggest you get a rip-stick first and then later you get the wave-board.My reason for this is that rip-sticks are alot different then most boards and you have to get used to them but once you can do all your basic tricks and jumps on a rip-stick i suggest you buy a wave-board so you can easily learn the more advanced tricks.

see you cant be an expert if you can only do the tricks on the wave-board so you should always have a rip-stick first.

Heres the differences: ripsticks are more advanced and better to learn from, wave boards have bumpers to keep them from getting to beat(encase your a wuss who is worried about a couple scratches),ripsticks have better grinding poles, wave boards are made especially for small kids, ripsticks can come in all sort of colors and types, ripsticks are made by razor and wave-boards are not.

My email is oldladyzapper@yahoo.com encase you want to talk to me about how to do tricks and hills!

  2. well, they're both g*y.

  3. same basic idea but differrent detais and what not. But i prefer wave rider over ripstick anyday. there just funner and you can do more on em. like ride on the front or manual easier. Plus the ripstick looks realy weird and is more square.

  4. the only difference is that the wave has bumpers. bumpers are good for landing, so the actually board doesnt get ruined. i highly suggest the wave, plus, the wave has more unique designs than the ripstick.

  5. It's pretty much just companies..there are a few physical variations, which I think make the Ripstik better. But they're pretty much the same, so it's probably best just to get the one that's cheaper or in your area.

  6. Ripsticks are alot more stable i think, although waveriders don't have that "boxy" look to them and are alot easier with tricks and all.
