Waxing eyebrows and upper lid?

So I heard after you waxed your eyebrows, you're eyebrows will be really red.(this will be my first time) Does that happen all the time to everyone and how long does it last for? I also want to wax my upper lip because it really annoys me. After reading around, it looks like your upper lip gets really red and swollen after your upper lip is waxed. Should I just buy some NADS waxing strips and do my upper lip by myself? I mean...if it gets real red, at least it'll be in the comfort of my own home. Does your lips turn out really red all the time? I get red really easily too...Just flick my arm with a lil pressure with a fingernail and you'll see the spot you flicked slightly red within seconds. How long will the redness last for?

Yeah, waxing is not good at all! It removes top layers of your skin which can help wrinkles from showing up later on, plus you could break out from it. Plus I heard it hurts like a ***** ! I think you should consider threading, it's easier, almost painless, and better for your skin. As for the upper lip, go for it :)

I've had my eyebrows waxed many times

and it's not as bad as you think

i wouldn't do your upper lip yourself i would go into a beauty salon and have your eyebrows and your upper lip done

they don't charge that much

and it isn't that painful

it lasts for a few weeks because it pulls the hair root out

The redness is going to happen. It's pretty unavoidable.

Definitely get professionally waxed for the first couple of times... You can't chicken out if someone else is doing it :P

If you're worried about people seeing, get it done 30 minutes before the salon closes. It'll be later at night, and there will be less people around to see.

I've been getting waxed for about 5, 6 years. I always get red and swollen, but the pain diminishes after a while.

Haha hun the redness is normal it lasts about 30mins tops or less depending on your skins sensitivity and eybrows not to bad just no makeup on them or anything just leave it for awhile and upper lip yeah not bad not painful really just like a bandaid and yep really only red ofr a bit then done i got mine done both acctually just awhile ago for like umm the 3rd time good luck !

By the way waxing isnt a big deal yeah it hurts like a bandaid it's not bad at all im 13 and its no big deal listen i got my lip waxed nothing happned just read for a bit and I did get a zit but well i have pretty bad acne anyway so its normal for me so dont think of it as anything big its not.

I've gotten my eyebrows waxed once and they were only red in the like the t-zone for a little while. I've never waxed my upper lip but I've used hair removal creme and dude my lip hurt like h**l. it was all red and it burned. i don't know if the wax will do the same thing though.
