My hubby came home with what I think is a completely cool new invention.

I don't like buying soda in the plastic bottles, because they are PLASTIC!

However I do not like open cans in my vehicle, as they go flat, are prone to spill, or get bugs and bees in them while I'm outside on the farm.

Here's a link to the invention:

Yes it is plastic. However if I can buy one plastic Snap Capp and never buy another plastic soda bottle again, that will really keep a lot of plastic out of the landfills!!!!

We've been trying it, and it works GREAT!

Finally a green invention that REALLY will keep plastics out of the landfills!!!

Sorry I sound like a commercial, I'm just so tickled with it!

What do you think?

(please star this question so others will read about this, and plastics that go to landfills can be cut down)

  1. many plastic pop bottles have a deposit on then so they get returned,if no deposit than most recycling programs accept them, your plastic device is cool but what happens if you loose the s***w top now bugs get into the can, also the tops of cans can be dirty and you are now putting the drink on the can top and drinking it,and what if the can has a small ding in it does the drink spill out on you and not all can lids are the same size again more spillage on you .Sorry to burst your bubble I'll stick to a sanitary pop bottle and recycle it when I'm done.

  2. i recycle my plastic bottles..... but really thats a new version of something old we use to have these plastic flat can cover lid things....

  3. I would not use one. Imagine the filth on top of a can that would get washed into your mouth when you drink from it. Save your money and drink nice cold fresh tap water.

  4. I don't see the logic to this.  It just keeps your unused drink from going flat.  There are Top-Can-Caps that do the same job and saves top space in the cooler.

  5. I think it's pretty great too!  I don't personally drink from cans (lots of health debate around them) but for people who do...this is fantastic! :)

  6. That's pretty unique
