If your search is acting weird, check for spyware.  Some spyware programs hijack your search results to show paid ads.

I can only assume that they are getting you to the site you want.

If you are looking for one specific thing..then do this...if you are searching for your name for example use Quotes ie;

"john doe"  will only show John and Doe together....if i didn't use the quotes ie;  John Doe ...I would get all the johns and the does. I hope i didn't confuse you..Just use the ""
