Way to find out average energy use in my neighborhood?

need to see if my electricity usage is higher than my neighbor's, is there a way, besides asking neighbors, what their monthy usage is? If average data not available by neighborhood, then area, or city ok too.

Your utility can tell you the average monthly bill for anyones home in your neighborhood.  They usually can't tell you specific numbers for a specific month, but can tell you things like "For last year, their average bill was $220."  At least that's how mine (Duke Power) works.  As far average for the entire neighborhood, I'm not sure.  Maybe try to find a few homes exactly like yours and call your electric provider and ask.  Good Luck!
