Way to get notification when a forum updates?

I subscribe to a forum and I was wondering if there was a way to get notified when there is a new post. It has the feature that will send the notification to my email, but that feature isnt working for some reason. So is there a program or an add-on for firefox that will tell me?

  1. Assuming the forum has an RSS feed, you should be able to use any of several add-ons.  This article goes into considerable detail about what's available.

    One of the more trustworthy add-ons is called Sage.  It's been around for years and has a solid reputation for reliability.
