Way to get rid of land in MTG?

Is there any way to use extirpate in MTG to get rid of a players land.

  1. Extirpate cannot remove basic land, but it can remove all copies of a single nonbasic land from the game. If you play in an environment with a lot of mono-colored decks, you may want to look at the Eradicate combo. You play any spell that turns one of your opponent's lands into a creature (Animate Land for example), then you Eradicate the creature. Eradicate then allows you to search their library for all cards with that name and remove them from the game.
