  1. -Zoo

-Parks-National Trust, Free play parks, woodland walks.

-Museums often have childrens competition and events

-Go on yell.com, local council site and look for 'info link' and type in various search words.

    -Beach

    -Swimming

    -Farms

-Science museums-they have places like 'technoquest' that are for kids!

-Parent and Toddler/Stay and Play groups (http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk/index.as...

Make it fun such as making a bingo board when you go on walk in words-kids mark or put sticker on picture when they find a leaf, a bird, a tree etc...can do same with shopping-make a visual shopping list for children and htey have to find those items.

Go to a woods and put various things like pine cones, twigs etc into a bag when you get back make a nature picture with glue and card.

  2. I don't love MacDonalds but- the play places inside are for kids up to 12 and for parents.  A lot of parents dont know that they are allowed to climb inside too.  You may want to check with the facility first, but most are actually very supportive.

Duck pond! We made popcorn in the kettle a few weeks ago and took it to feed the ducks.  They didnt love the popcorn as much as the bread, but it went a lot further.

Nature walk, they will love exploring, especially with spring arriving.

If your child is patient, go to a musuem.

the zoo, many zoo's are free, unfortunately not all.

The library.  They often have scheduled story times for kids, and will actually be understanding to your preschooler or toddler during those times.

:) I hope some of these ideas helped.

  3. try going to a near by park. Or maybe take them to a zoo or an aquarium

  4. Toy Town and it has been opened for 14 years.  Won't be closing...www.aztoytown.com

  5. - a children's museum

    - a zoo.........i think thats a good idea

    - a circus

    - maybe go see a play or go see an eduational movie

    - not MCDonald's- whoever said that- that place is dirty and a child could catch something in there.

    - a park

    - an orchard (apples, in the fall- a pumpkin, etc.)
