Wayanad Trip in mid-july?

I am planning a Bangalore to Wayanad trip next weekend. Will it be ok to go there during this season? Hows the driving route? Is it very steep driving and is it safe during monsoon? It would be also great if you can suggest some good place to stay.

Traveling during monsoon to wayanad is wonderful and adventurous.  The road is not that good.  There will be incessant rains.  It is full green and you will enjoy the wild.

There are some very good resorts around wayanad.  Stay there for few days and enjoy the serenity.  Do not grumble.  Enjoy the wild, wild rain, food and be very careful, while you drive.  It is safe to drive in the day time and do not venture our during nights.

Check your tyres.  Use tyres with good buttons.

Carry mosquito sprays, coils, emergency medicines, torch, camera, warm clothing may not be required and a camcorder, if you could.

Book rooms in advance.  This is off season.  You can bargain for the best tariff.

It will be very good if u are adventure lover, because in july lot of rain expected and will have good greenery as well, u can enjoy a lot, but be prepared with some warm clothes and all, prepared to get wet in rain as well, but roads are not that good,
