Wayne Madsen and Mark Footitt sign new Derbyshire deals
Derbyshire players http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mark-Footitt-c1903 have signed new two-year contracts with the county championship division two side.
Madsen scored an impressive 1,403 runs last season, which included four first-class centuries. Left arm seamer Footitt took 33 wickets in all forms of the game to earn himself a new contract.

Both players have a lot of skill and quality, which should ensure they are two of the most productive players in the cricket club. Derbyshire's squad is looking stronger and deeper.
Skill and quality
Madsen is the ideal sort of player to bat up the order for the county. He is very aggressive and likes to get big runs quickly. This is vital because he is one of the few players in Derbyshire that can
take a game away from the opposition.
Footitt is a very raw pace bowler. The county will work on his accuracy over the course of the winter in the hope that he can take over 50 wickets in a very competitive division next year.
Derbyshire has been one of the weaker county clubs over the last three to four seasons. However, the signatures of these two players shows the county has ambition and wants to play more exciting and successful
cricket.
"Both players are now working hard during the winter to attain peak physical fitness before no doubt testing each other out in the nets ahead of the 2011 season," added Morris.

Madsen is the player to back out of this duo. He is much more likely to score centuries for Derbyshire than Footitt is to take five wickets for the club. Place a small wager on Derbyshire going up to division
