Wayne Rooney appreciates http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463
Manchester United striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 was one of those players who appreciated the performance of young midfielder Jack Wilshere in England’s away victory over Denmark.
Despite conceding an early goal, the Three Lions bounced back and equalized in the 10th minute, thanks to a tap-in from Darren Bent. This was followed by a neat finish from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749,
who were blessed with their first away win since 2008.
It was a battle between two teenagers; http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eriksen-c9074 faced off the Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in the park’s centre and outshone Wilshere for most of the match, while his corner led Denmark to score the match’s
opening goal. Eriksen then hit the post from long range and thwarted the Three Lions’ defence almost at will.
However, Wilshere made a solid performance and his experimental new position as a midfielder was successfully filled up by his young legs. The 19-year-old usually plays up in the field and is more accustomed to attacking rather than acting
as a bridge between defence and attack.
Rooney was, therefore, delighted by the player’s performance in the match and declared that he had a bright future. "I think Jack Wilshere did really well tonight. He was really composed on the ball and he is really good to play with,"
stated the Manchester United striker.
Wilshere, however, was withdrawn from the match at the stroke of half-time under what was believed to be an agreement between the English FA and Arsenal who would play host to Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend and would need Wilshere
against the side who ended Manchester United’s 29-match undefeated streak.
The youngster managed to pull off some extraordinary statistics during his 45 minutes on the pitch, having completed 93 percent of his 29 passes attempted in the park’s centre. Wilshere also dispossessed the opposition on three different
occasions.
"I thought he was brilliant. He's a top, top player already. He is so young, so comfortable on the ball and he just makes it look easy," stated the goal scorer http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Bent-c10358 in praise of the starlet.
If he keeps playing like this, Wilshere will easily replace the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Gerrard-c34196 by the 2014 World Cup. Both these players have been loyal servants to England for nearly a decade but have passed the 30-year mark
and would be available only for inspiration to the youngsters by the time of the world cup in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858.
