Manchester United’s striker and England international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 has admitted that he regrets having picked up the red card against Montenegro which has ruled him out for two games.
The striker went on to kick a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Montenegro-c2959 defender in a two all draw last year, but as a result of his outburst, he was suspended for three games.
The forward has already served out one of those three game suspensions, but is now set to miss the opening games for the upcoming Euros, in order complete the amount of games that he has to sit out.
When talking about what happened and how it is going affect him and the team, Rooney is quoted to have said: "It was a stupid thing to do. I regretted it as soon as I did it. I honestly don't know why I did it; it was just one of those moments which I live to regret now."
Despite his ban, the striker thinks http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 can do well in the tournament, given the fact that they have a very decent squad, which is capable of beating any team, should they get their tactics down.
Rooney added: "We’ve got a big squad and a good squad so there's going to be players available to take over and play the first two games.”
However, he went on to admit that he wants to be a part of that squad as soon as possible, in order for him to be able to help out the team progress forward in the completion and potentially win it.
The Manchester United striker ended by admitting that the young players in the team could prove to be just what the team needed to succeed this time around and end up on top at the end of the tournament.
"With the young players coming in the team right now I'm confident we can be successful at Euros. In fact over the next 10 years we could have the chance to be successful and hopefully I can be part of that."
It is now going to be interesting to see just how Rooney and the younger players at the club can go on and help the team have a good run in, this time around.
