in England’s last EURO 2012 qualification match where he was sent off and subsequently suspended for two competitive international matches by the UEFA.
As a result of this suspension, Rooney will now miss the first two matches of the European Championships over the summer but the Englishman is not feeling down trodden due to his suspension as he is waiting eagerly to make an
impact for England whenever Roy Hodgson opts to play him at the EUROs.

He added, "You don't know if a new manager will have you in his plans so it was nice to know that I am. It is important I do my training right. I have had a long time to think about missing the first games; it's disappointing but
something I've dealt with and I am looking forward to the first game for the rest of the lads and hoping we can get something out of that."
