Wayne Rooney’s Pippy struggled to keep up in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Stakes
It looks like England striker, Wayne Rooney, is not having any luck with his horses as Pippy ran out of luck once again in the second start of his career, and ended up in last place.
The son of Exceed And Excel, out of mare Gandini, was mounted by rider Tom Eaves in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Stakes which took place at Carlisle on 4th June, 2012.
The two-year-old could not match the skills of the other runners on the track, and consequently completed the order of finish to winner, Lady Ibrox.
Whereas Kevin Ryan’s charge, Lady Of The House, who was also the race favourite, finished a head behind the winner.
Pippy missed the victory by an immense margin of 23 lengths.
Trained of Tom Dascombe, Pippy, failed to deliver in a previous attempt at his maiden when he finished dead last in the Manor House Stables Lily Agnes Conditions Stakes at Chester on 9th May, 2012. Coupled with jockey, Richard
Kingscote, he fell 8 ¾ lengths behind the winner, All Fur Coat.
Pippy is one of the three runners that Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen purchased. Tomway, their other runner, also seems distant from any success.
Tomway, son of Sakhee´s Secret, out of mare Mi Amor, finished in seventh place in a line-up of nine runners in the Equestrianartuk.com E B F Maiden Stakes at Chester on 10th May, 2012, where he was mounted by rider, Robert Winston.
The two-year-old raced with a 25-1 shot, and failed to match the level of competition the other runners brought to the track.
The chestnut colt could not improve in his next start either, the 32RedPoker.com Maiden Auction Stakes at Chepstow on 23rd May, 2012, finishing ninth in a field of ten runners. He lost by a tremendous margin of 13 lengths.
This is the field of sport in which Rooney may not earn any success, but things might start looking up since his runners are still inexperienced and might show late development.
