Wayne Rooney’s future club - facts or rumours
The 51-year-old boss of the Chelsea football club Carlo Ancelotti has denied the rumours that the Chelsea Club is willing to acquire the English veteran striker, Wayne Rooney.
Currently Wayne is playing for the prestigious Manchester United football club and his contract will expire in 2012, and it is very clear that Rooney is not willing to extend his contract with the Manchester United FC.
When Ancelloti was asked about the new rumours about Chelsea’s plans of acquiring the English striker the manager said that he is totally unaware of the news and currently he is not willing to share his views about the issue as well. While talking about
the importance of Wayne Rooney in the squad, Ancelloti said that currently Rooney is suffering through some mental stress but players like him are hard to find and that is why bigger teams want to keep them for a longer period of time.
Chelsea is now going to face Spartak Moscow football club in its next league match in Russia. During the interview the retired Italian footballer was asked about the matter of bidding Wayne Rooney in January but the 51-year-old refused to give an answer.
Later he added that if anyone wants to know about the club’s future planning about buying new players he should go and ask the question from the club’s billionaire owner Roman Abramovich.
On the other hand, the chief executive of the Manchester United football club David Gill has announced that he will inform the media about the proceedings of the matter very soon. On the other hand, the club’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson has not yet expressed
his views about Wayne Rooney. It is expected that he will be asked about the matter in the press conference before the upcoming match of Man United.
It is also reported that the Spanish richest football club Real Madrid and English football club Manchester City are also willing to bid for the ace striker. But Jose Mourinho is of the view that Wayne will stay with the Manchester United club.
Mourinho expressed himself about the matter and said that he does not think that the 24-year-old English striker will leave his club too soon. He said that Alex Ferguson will settle the brawl easily and will not let him leave the club that soon.
Very recently the director general of the Real Madrid club Jorge Valdano told the media about his thoughts towards the matter and said that the club cannot accommodate new player, as it is already full and it is not feeling the need of anybody else. When
he was asked about Rooney’s bid in January, the Real boss said that there will be no addition or subtraction of players in January.
The former skipper of the Man United team, Roy Keane also seems very keen and concerned about the matter and is of the view that Rooney should concentrate over his performance. He added that ups and downs are a part of the game. Keane said that Rooney should
make sure what he is about to do and choosing the best for him and his career is necessary.
Just like Mourinho, the boss of Arsenal football club Arsene Wenger has also expressed his views saying that Wayne Rooney will stay with the old club till the end of his contract. He added that he does not believe in the stories about Wayne’s intentions
of changing the club.
The news reports about the Rooney’ intentions of leaving his Manchester United club have given birth to many rumours and controversies. Now only the time will tell about the further happenings.
