If the human species, did not exist then wildlife would find its own balance.  Is that what the Green community wants.  Kill off people and gin up the abortion rate and the wildlife will be in dandy shape.  Stop driving autos to save the Polar Bear.  Bottomline:  if developed economies are to sustain themselves the society has to "negatively effect" wildlife.  But, the doomsday enviornmental case fails.  For example an acre of corn produces 3 times as many bushels per acre today vs. 10 years ago.   Brazil is buying ferterlizers to allow crop production in areas that were too dry for agriculture less than a generation ago.   I am afreaid that the public school teachers are frightening the children with their politicking for the great liberal "crisis" of a dying planet.
